Carroll Shelby, the famed race car driver, built limited edition high-performance vehicles such as the AC Shelby Cobra and the Shelby Mustangs produced in partnership with Ford Motor Company. He later developed performance cars for both General Motors and Chrysler.
At the age of 74, he built the Shelby Series I, and many consider this the crowning achievement. They featured an aluminum frame, carbon fiber body and a tuned Oldsmobile Aurora V-8 engine. Zero-to-sixty was achieved in just 4.4 seconds and could reach top speeds of 170 mph. Mr. Shelby also chose to have Richard Cerullo build and furnish the seats for the Series 1. This is one of our crowning achievements as an automotive seat manufacturer.
